氏名: 湊・チャイティア・デビ
ネパール出身。1965年からネパール伝統民族舞踊団の中心舞踊家として活動をはじめ、1968~74年までロシア国立映画撮影技術協会・舞台・映画演技課程修了。ネパール映画の第一作「クマリ」に女優として参加。1978年にネパール王国映画会社から派遣され、日本の日本テレビの番組に協力。現在、在日しながらネパールの伝統舞踊を伝えている。

November 1979 ~ March 1983 :First Assistant Filming Director:
Nepalese film "Jeevan Rekha" was completed at the end of 1982. Working as the First Filming director to assist the director in terms of pre-shooting works, script writing including dialogue, selecting assistants and major and minor artists, set making, location hunting, recording shots and other minor arrangement for the filming as a whole.
October 1979 ~ November 1979: Liaison Officer:
As a request of Royal Nepal Filming Corporation, sent to liaise with a TV filming team from Tokyo, Japan, (Nippon Television Net Work Corporation) and assisted them in terms of their shooting in Nepalese cultural aspect, family life and the land scape. The film was released on 1st January 1980, in Japan, as a part of their new year programme.
November 1978 ~ October 1979: General Office Work
Planning and preparing work for a new film and worked as an assistant director of screen play for "Bala Mandir", a Nepalese Bhavishya Ko Tara. Working as a drama instructor ended in August 1979.
October 1978 ~ November 1978: Liaison Officer
As a request of Royal Nepal Filming Corporation, sent to liaise with a Japanese documentary filming team from Kindai Eiga Kyokai Co., Ltd., Tokyo, Japan, who filmed Nepalese mothers. Assisted them in terms of their shooting Nepalese women, interpreting English into Nepali and Newar languages, arranging shooting locations and artist if required, and clearing shooting equipment from customs.
February 1978 ~ October 1978: General Office Work
Assisting overall activities carried out by Royal Nepal Filming Corporation including a formal reception for th eRussian Filming Festival held in Kathmandu and working as an assistant director of screen play for "Bhabishyako Tara" which was awarded the gold medal and given by Her Majesty the Queen Mother of Nepal.
October 1976 ~ February 1978: Actress Title Role
The first Nepalese feature film in 35mm color "Kumari" wa made by Royal Nepal Filming Corporation. Designated as the leading figure for the pictgure, a tale of living godess in Nepalese legend, and successfully completed the role as an actress. This film participated in the International Film Festival held in Taskent in May 1978 and won a Best Picture Award.
January 1976 ~ October 1976: General Office Work
Assisted overall office works and activities carried out by Royal Nepal Filming Corporation including preparation and research work on the new filming project and a Russian Film Festival formally held in Kathmandu. Working as a drama instructor began in August 1976.
July 1975 ~ January 1976: Filming Assistant
"Soil Erosion and Water Conservation", a documentary film made for the Ministry of Forestry, was being shot in the various parts of the country by Royal Nepal Filming Corporation. I worked to assist the project.
December 1965 ~ August 1968: A main dancer for traditional Nepalese forlklore:
Worked as a traditional Nepalese cancer for National Theatre at His Majesty Govenment of Archaeology Depertment. The work included to play a leading roles in Nepalese opera "Nepalko Fulwari", "Purnachandra", "Agni Parikchya", "Sankalpa", and other Nepalese folk dances, classical dances and modern dances. Also participated on the tour of Nepalese Cultural Delegation to China visiting Peking, Shanghai, Kwanchow, Canton, Chinan and Ushi. "Sankalpa" was on Stage during the tour and awarded as a best opera by Chinese aAssociation of Stage and Drama (Performance Art). Also participated to the fourth International Youth Festival held in Sophia, Bulgaria during July 1968 and August 1968.
March 1961 ~ December 1965: A main dancer for Traditional Nepalese folklore:
Worked for Nasakhala Cultural Association as a main dancer for stage performance, "Mahasoto", "Satya Nag", "Manju Shree", "Buddha Bandhana". During February 1965 and December 1965, worked for a Nepalese film "AMA", as a title role actress
